How much does it cost to ship items from Gus* Modern?
Freight cost is 8% of your total order amount before any discounts. For example, if your cart total is $1,000 and there is a 20% off sale, even though your sale price is $800, your freight cost would still be $80.
Freight only covers shipping from the Gus* Modern warehouse to our Receiver's Warehouse. If it's something smaller like a lamp or a rug, it usually ships via FedEx.
Freight does not include Threshold or White Glove Delivery Service.
How soon can I expect my Gus* Modern items to be shipped?
Typically about 85-90% of Gus* Modern items are in stock and ready to ship. You can expect to receive your items in 2-3 weeks. If an item happens to be on backorder at the time of your purchase, we will let you know its expected restock date and keep you posted on any changes to that date.
We promise to give you the most accurate delivery/restock timeline we can at the time of purchase. If you have questions about the availability of any item before placing your order or have a tight timeline you have to stick to let us know! We're always happy to help.
Do you offer delivery?
Heck, yeah! We offer Threshold Delivery and White Glove Delivery for any local furniture orders.
What is Threshold Delivery?
Our Delivery Team will drop off your items in their original boxes as close to your doorstep as possible. Threshold Delivery is only $175 within Dallas and does not include any assembly or packaging disposal.
What is White Glove Delivery?
Our Delivery Team will place your furniture exactly where you'd like it to live in your home. You won't have to lift a finger except maybe to get the door! White Glove Delivery is only $275 within Dallas. Assembly for most furniture pieces is included, however any beds, dining tables and sofa beds with a pull-out mechanism will incur an additional $75 fee, per piece since those pieces require more time and a larger Delivery Team.
What if I don't live in Dallas? Can you still deliver my furniture?
If you are outside of Dallas, but still within the DFW area, we can give you a quote for Threshold Delivery or White Glove Delivery upon request. Just give us a call, slide in our DMs, send us an email, or use the handy dandy chat feature on our website.
What if I don't need my Gus* Modern items delivered? Can I pick up in-store?
While we do not offer in-store pick up for Gus* Modern orders, you are welcome to choose Warehouse Pick Up for your items at no additional cost. If you choose this option, the full Freight cost is still applicable to your purchase, but you'll save the additional fee to upgrade to Threshold Delivery or White Glove Delivery!
What is Warehouse Pick Up?
By choosing Warehouse Pick Up, you can pick your items up as soon as you and our Delivery Team coordinate a pick-up window from our Receiver's Warehouse.
Our Team will receive your items, keep them in their original packaging, and hold onto them until you schedule a time to pick them up and take them to their new home.
Make sure to bring a friend or two if you're picking up an item that will be too large or heavy to be safely moved and loaded onto your vehicle by one person. Please be aware that our Delivery Team will not be able to help you load or secure your items to your vehicle during your Warehouse Pick Up. Don't forget straps, bungee cords, tie downs, rope or whatever else you might need to secure your items onto your vehicle. We recommend taking moving blankets or tarps with you to just in case you need to wrap any items or protect your boxes from rain in the back of a pick up truck.
Be sure to measure your vehicle's trunk/bed, etc. to ensure that the pieces you're picking up will fit! Let us know if you need box dimensions. We're happy to provide those upon request.
Where is your Receiver's Warehouse?
Our Receiver's Warehouse is conveniently located in the Dallas Design District. The exact address will be provided after your Warehouse Pick Up is scheduled.
Can you ship my furniture outside of Texas?
Yep! We can ship almost anywhere within the contiguous United States. Contact us if you have any questions about shipping to any place specifically or if you'd like to request a shipping quote before submitting your order.
If you are outside of the DFW area, we are unable to offer White Glove Delivery at this time, but Gus* Modern is able deliver to you via Curbside Freight. Contact us for more details!
I purchased some art from your current show, how soon can I expect my order to ship?
All artwork will be shipped 10-14 business days after the show closes. If you have any questions regarding your order, shoot us an email or give us a call.
If the art you purchased is not part of a current show, it will ship within 3-4 business days, if not sooner.
We're a small but mighty team of four, so we really appreciate your patience when it comes to order fulfillment!
I just bought some cool art on your website and I'm local. Can I pick it up in-store?
Sure! You can choose Local Dallas Pick-Up during checkout and include in your order notes when you'd like to pick your items up. You can choose to pick up your order any time between 10am and 6pm Monday - Saturday. We will give you a call as as soon as they're ready to be picked up.
Typically you can pick it up same day you buy it, but we appreciate a heads up in case we have to grab your piece from our art storage and you need to pick it up the same day. If it is an oversized art piece, make sure you measure the vehicle you'll be using to transport it to make sure any the piece will fit in there safely. We recommend blankets or cardboard to help protect your new art pieces.

Orders for home goods and accessories are typically ready to pick up within 24hrs or less, but please be mindful that it could take us a little longer to wrap your things up if they are delicate, like ceramics, so it's best to give us a heads up on when you are planning to swing by for your items, especially if you're on a tight schedule!
