Sons of Mezcal

Las Almas Rotas is proud to join {neighborhood} + Lone Gallery and Back Bar Project to present to the community of Dallas the documentary Sons of Mezcal for one night only!

The screening will be held at {neighborhood} + Lone Gallery in conjunction with the closing reception of Cruz Ortiz’s art show, Danza De Los Cósmicos, on Friday, April 21st. Stephan Werk, “Sons of Mezcal” documentary director, will be in attendance and available for questions after the screening.

Las Almas Rotas' mobile mezcalería will be on site starting at 5pm with cocktails featuring Agave de Cortes mezcal, draft beer and food service. After the screening, stick around for the Dallas Art Fair afterparty!

From the filmmaker: “Mezcal is more than an intoxicating spirit. It is the sacred link that binds modern-day mezcaleros to their ancestors.  Sons of Mezcal transports you into this living history, as it follows four families passing their traditions on to the next generation.”

Tickets are available to view the film screening or to view the film screening accompanied by a mezcal tasting flight of three El Jolgorio expressions. The Mezcal Tasting portion of this event is 21+ only. Please arrive by 6pm in order to choose your seat and receive your purchased tasting flight. The documentary film screening will begin at 6:30pm.

8pm - Dallas Art Fair afterparty with DJ Marcos

Outside of the film screening, the event will be free to attend, as always.
